Will Diplomacy Stop Israeli Military Attack On Iranian Nuclear Facilities? President Obama and Ahmadenijad Fresh Talks

President Obama’s rough talk of penalties and sanctions has made a way to further talks with Iran. President Ahmadinejad is starting to sound as though he has been struck with a bit of “good sense” all the while Iran pushes it’s agenda as strong as ever.

It was disclosed December 19th that patients are running thin in Washington D.C. And that rough sanctions are on the near horizon are a mere smokescreen to drag out talks and to allow the Obama administration to roll out a three step plan of action. This sets back any military action against Iran’s Nuclear facilities.

Prime Minister Netanyahu (Israel) gave the President Obama six months to employ diplomacy absent of any military action on November 9th. This period runs out at the end of this December shortly after Christmas. The next period of time runs out in the middle of 2010. Netanyahu along with said on, December. 14: “There is still time for diplomatic action to stop Iran.”

Reports claim that that President Obama has offered three strategies aimed at Tehran to call off its military program:

I. December 15th 2009, Congress approved penalties for businesses selling Iran fuel and the insurance companies underwriting the sale of the fuel. Senator John Kerry stated through his spokesperson Frederic Jones that the Foreign Relations Committee, which he leads, “needs time to consider the bill.”

II. Friday, December. 17th , The Pentagon’s Tara Rigler announced a six-month delay in deploying the new the 30,000-pound Bunker Buster bomb. This powerful bomb was designed specifically for use in Iran and North Korea. The new roll out date is December 2010.

This past August, the United States Air Force announced that it’s 15 ton bomb would be available in July 2010. This bomb is designed to be used on the B-2 Stealth Bomber.

Washington has given Iran another six months free of military action against it below ground nuclear facilities or sanctions to come to a satisfactory resolution to this potentially dangerous situation.

III. Friday, December. 18th, Israeli newspaper reporter was briefed by Obama’s administration officials and ran stories defaming Israel’s Mossad director Meir Dagan as the only Israeli official holding out on the need to attack Iran. He is said to be in the grasp of a fixation detrimental to his handling of other major issues. One article suggested to the Israeli government that they (Israel) learn to live with a nuclear armed Iran.

President Obama’s administration tactics had at least one result: Iranian President Ahmadinejad stated while at the Copenhagen conference:

“Everything is possible, 400 kilos, 800 kilos, it’s nothing,” for enrichment abroad, “but not in a climate where they threaten us. From the outset, delivery of 1,200 kilos of uranium was not a problem for us, but if they believe they can wave a stick to threaten us, those days are over. They have to change their vocabulary to respect and legality.”

While preaching to others Ahmadinejad must have thought the big sticks Tehran flashed during the last week went un-noticed.

On December. 12th, Tehran launched improvised Sejil II missile which is capable of penetrating American and Israeli Missile Defense Shields and avoiding their interceptors. The Sejil II is armed with electronic chips used as decoys to confuse the electronic systems of the Israeli Arrow II and America’s Patriot, Aegis and THAAD anti-missile missile defense systems.

Within the last week Iran signed a new military agreement Syria, bringing in the Lebanese Hizballah and Palestinian Hamas as second-strike forces. The Iranian Cyber Hackers hacked the well known Twitter social site filling its main pages with anti American Propaganda. For the better part of December, Iran supported Yemeni rebels kept Saudi and

government forces on the run and, December 18th , Iranian soldiers by force seized control of an Iraqi oil well in a much disputed border area.

Obama’s latest comments and Ahmadinejad’s slick rebuttal indicate a new round of talks will be looked at between the 5P+1 bloc (five Security Council permanent members plus Germany) and Iran before sanctions are instituted or either the US or Israel resort to military action against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

This means that Washington’s unrelenting ultimatum to Iran to comply with its international obligations by the end of 2009 has been extended by a whole year giving Iran an extra six months by Israeli up to June 2010 and another six months which Obama pinned on himself in order to further delay Israeli military action on Iran.

Some have earnestly stated that by that time Tehran will have attained a nuclear weapon plus a method to deliver the nuclear weapon of mass destruction

December 19th , an Iranian military spokesman stated: “Our forces are on our own soil, and based on the known international borders this well belongs to Iran.”

It does not take a lot of imagination to see how Tehran will behave itself once it has a nuclear missile.
